Course Objective

The aim of this course is to help the student develop an understanding of the means of expression constituting the plastic language by experimenting with color, line, form, and composition within the scope of basic art education

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student is expected to acquire knowledge and experience in choosing the ethnic and material that suits his or her purpose.
2   Develop a superior quality in visual synthesis and the semantic clarity of subjective interpretation.
3   Develop an increased understanding of the decisive selection and use of expressive elements
4   Develop a sensitivity in bringing together the richness of texture, depth and characteristic expression with the material
5   Built the base for artistic painting

Assessment Criteria

Evaluation will be based on student s demonstration of observational skill, technical and material competency, an understanding of the elements of plastic language such as proportion, quality of line, visual weight, balance and space, and content-form relationship.
