Course Objective

Objectives of printmaking course for potential artists are improving the power of intuition which is the basis of creativity, constructive and creative forces by disciplined observation during the training program; providing to acquire the ability to interpret objects and relations between objects; providing education which obtain the necessary culture which makes feel the nature and logic of art. We can list the other objectives of printing course as people which are responding to the need for age, adopting mentality of contemporary art, creative and constructive, Pioneer designer; making original works with a high level education; providing to become widespread and to reach to a wider mass printing which is a relatively new area of interest in our country,

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the historical development of printing, contemporary printing art, printing artists, printing techniques and tools.
2   Knowing monotype printing, technic of Monotype printing
3   Knowing high-pressure printing technique, it's system of practice and it's samples.
4   Making high-pressure printing (woodblock printing)
5   Using their works when students need gaining experiences during the application

2 Monotype printing, Works made with monotype printing, technic
3 Monotype printing
4 Monotype printing made by deletion on formica, zinc, plexiglass, glass; making samples; printing
5 Mixed monotype printing (with deletion on glass, Photocopying transfer)
6 Woodcut tecnique, working system, samples and high-pressure printing (woodcut), sketch
7 Sketch for woodcut
8 Carving wood mold, Test printmaking is done
9 Woodcut process
10 Application process
11 Application process
12 Application process
13 Application process
14 Finished term project presentation
