Course Objective

The technical work of the process of emergence, invention and development of photography aims to grasp the historical and social events and the work of photographers in the historical process between 1827 and 1900.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to comprehend the technical invention researches of photography
2   Be able to comprehend the relations of photography with the social structure in the first half of the 19th century
3   Be able to understand the development of photographic technology and photo-language
4   Be able to recognize photographers and their works in the 19th century
5   Be able to discuss relationship between social history events and history of photography
