1   To be able to predict the process of sculpture worksand technical requirements related to this process
2   Having command of terminology used in sculpture
3   Be able to construct her/his own process of specialisation since she/he has an idea about the problems and techniques of the field at the begining of the training process

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Briefings will be given on the different techniques used in sculpture.
2 Briefings about basic plastic arts consepts such as mass, space, occupancy, rhythm, harmony, balance will be given.
3 Briefings about stone carving technique will be given.
4 Briefings will be given on the tools and combining techniques used in stone sculpture making. Briefings will be given about the occupational safety rules required fort he working process.
5 Briefings about wood carving technique will be given.
6 Briefings will be given on the tools and combining techniques used in wooden sculpture making. Briefings will be given about the occupational safety rules required fort he working process.
7 Briefings about metal sculpture technique will be given.
8 Briefings will be given on the tools and combining techniques used in metal sculpture making. Briefings will be given about the occupational safety rules required fort he working process
9 Briefings about clay modelling technique will be given.
10 Apart from traditional techniques, the use of different materials used in contemporary art in sculpture will be discussed.
11 Briefings about the consept of bust in sculpture art will be made.
12 Briefings about the consept of composition in sculpture art will be made.
13 The period of history of art about the figurative sculpture consept will be evaluated through the examples.
14 Briefings about public space in sculpturesA art will be made.
