Course Objective

To discuss the developments in the sculpture art of the 20th century over the artists, works of art and art movements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to gain knowledge in the general sense with respect to the 20th century sculpture art
2   to get acquainted with the art movements and the artists
3   to be able to evaluate the works of the artists in terms of the plastic arts
4   to be able to analyze the problems related to sculpture theoretically
5   to gain skills of being able to use all this knowledge in his/her own applications.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The academic member will make an explanation accompanied by visual presentation within the framework of the subject specified in each lesson. At the end of the lesson, a discussion platform related to the subject will be created for the students in the form of question-answer method. The students will be asked to get prepared for the subject that will be treated each week and participation in the lesson will be increased in this way.
