Course Objective

Introduction to main and auxiliary boilers, dynamic pumps ,air compressors, fuel and lube oil purifiers, oily water separator operation and maintenance .

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To gain good skills on operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary boilers, dynamic pumps, air compressors, fuel and lube oil purifiers, oily water separator in order to run in safety and efficiency
2   Finding out the causes and remedies of the troubles in machinery engine
3   Having knowledge about safety precautions in engine room during watchkeeping
4   Comprehension of importance of prevention of sea pollution
5   An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
