Course Objective

Informing students about ship auxiliary machines, boilers, steam and deck machines

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Getting basic information on ship auxiliary machinery and components.
2   To learn about different pumping systems and calculations on board.
3   Having knowledge about the installation, maintenance and problems of the auxiliary systems on board.
4   To learn about heat transfer in ship auxiliary machinery and to learn necessary calculations.
5   Getting information on the design requirements of various ship auxiliary machinery.
