Course Objective

1. To provide students with basic understanding of computer hardware and peripherals
and operating systems,
2. To train students how to use internet tools to reach information,
3. To develop skills in use of word processing, spreadsheet applications and data
bases,
4. To give insight into scientific visualization,
5. To develop skills in utilization of symbolic and numerical interpreters.

1   Understand and recognize the basic computer hardware and peripherals
2   Reach information through www and develop skills in web page authoring
3   Use his/her skills to successfully prepare a document
4   Use spreadsheeting to solve simple problems
