Course Objective

Student completing this course gains knowledge and practise in treatment approaches (hydrotherapy, aquatherapy, therapatic electrical stimulation, etc.) in patients with different diseases (musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and neurolojic diseases ). Student gains knowledge in discussion, clinical decision making, and planning in terms of physiotherapy in different diseases.

1   Knows and practice hydrotherapy methods.
2   Knows aquatherapy.
3   Knows and practice joint mobilisation principles.
4   Knows and practice neuromuscular electrical stimulation methods.
5   Knows and practice deep friction massage, connective tissue massage and classic massage.

3 Current approaches in hydrotherapy.
4 Current approaches in aquatherapy.
5 Direct currents and current approaches.
6 TENS and current approaches.
7 Electrical stimulation (ES, NMES, HVES, Russian current)
8 US and current approaches
9 LASER and current approaches (LLET and HELT)
10 ESWT and current approaches
11 Middle frequency currents and current approaches
12 Electrotherapy in burn and wound healing.
13 EMG Biofeedback
14 Determination of homework topics, general discussion
