Course Objective

Interpreting anatomical organization of the central nervous system

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to explain structure and connections of the spinal cord
2   Be able to decipher gross anatomy, internal structure and connections of the brainstem
3   Be able to define gross anatomy, functional anatomy and connections of the cerebellum
4   Be able to define gross anatomy, subdivisions and connections of the cerebrum
5   Be able to explain blood supply and functional connections of the central nervous system
6   Be able to explain anatomy of the meninges and ventricular system, and the cerebrospinal fluid circulation
7   Be able to define parts and properties of the autonomic nervous system
