Course Objective

The aim is the course;
From the process of playing violoncello, by giving the student technical, analitical and aesthetical knowledge, attitude and comparative critical point of view he/she need, is to contribute to the student technically and aesthetically for preparing the academic vision.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   It is expected; To be able to interpret the music forms, which written for violoncello, with the basic principles of this instrument s technique, and to define the teaching techniques
2   To evaluate by making comparisons and analysing the periodical forms of the works which written for violoncello.
3   To be able to analyse voice and video recordings by making individual listenings.
4   To take social responsibility by planing art events for the purpose of vocalization of works which he/she interpret.
5   To be able to write his/her studies findings as a report.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lessons:
Besides giving the student the technical and interpretative diversity of works which written for violoncello, the lessons are done by teaching the methods and preparations which needed for presentation in front of the audience.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Exams;
The student gains the %70 of his/her total success point from mid-term and final exams during one term. The students are responsible from the pieces/works which they study in the semester. The exam is done by practical with or without accompaniment.
Concert;
The student gains the %30 of his/her success point from the concert.

Assessment Criteria

The exams aim to evaluate the students if they reach the knowledge and application based abilities which defined in learning outcomes or not.

1. 80% class attendance is required.

2. The excuses will not accepted except the health issues.
3. The concert is obligatory.
