Course Objective

To have an advanced knowledge of 19th century Musica da camera repertoire of composers such as V.Bellini, G.Donizetti, G.Verdi, G.Puccini, P.Mascagni, L.Cavallo, G.Rossini, P.Tosti, and etc.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can increase the consciousness and competence of the ability of Bel canto period's interpretation to an advanced level
2   Can evaluate the influence of historical events concerning the relationship of music and text in advanced level
3   Can carry further his/her knowledge about the 19th century Bel canto repertoire in an advanced level
4   Can develop his/ her technical and interpretational skills which the period requires in an advanced level.
5   Can carry his/her awareness of technique and style differences of pieces of Romantic and other periods in an advanced level.
