Course Objective

This class aims to get the students who have completed their education at a post-graduate level, to specifically develop their styles of narration by utilizing the codes and resources of visual language in a more unique way, and to work within the methods that give birth to an individual artistic attitude and keep it consistent, or to present the results within the frame of an aesthetical integrity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   It is expected that the students of this class will be more knowledgeable about what art is, what its applications are, and the meaning and the scope of art.
2   will have sufficient knowledge about the fact that individual attitude of art is a process that is shaped by independent research, thoughts and observations.
3   will understand that artistic expression is the combination of new relationships, that are coded with visual elements and that take into account the dialect of form and meaning.
4   will know that their artistic works need to be based on the foundation of related tradition, with a knowledge of art history, and within the context of intellectual and sociological data.
5   will be experienced with technical preferences and the use of materials.
6   will have sufficient knowledge that his works need to be presented to the audience in a way that is in line with contemporary practices of presentation, within the context of a concept of presentation, that also discusses the exhibition space.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

An "individualized" method of teaching is utilized, in a way that follows the potential, interests and creativity of each student working for a degree in proficiency in art; that's based on keeping track, shaped with discoveries, stiffened with intensity of practice, relies on guidance, and is a process of building an attitude of art and the personality of an artist.

Proficiency of utilizing materials, being in line with fundamental plastic values, the organization and setting up of images, expressive quality and proficiency, being able to develop, originality, the clarity in relationships of form-meaning, command of visual language, intellectual dimension etc.
