Course Objective

Analysis literary texts in terms of esthetics, context, style, feeling, thought and language.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Grasp the fact that Turkish language have extensive vocabulary
2   Examine usage of Turkish language in literary texts
3   Assess aesthetically a text in terms of relation between language and style
4   Examine the vocabulary, syntactic structure and expression power of the text in the terms of language and style
5   Criticize expression power of authors in terms of using language

9 Stylistic study methods on texts
10 Usage of language on narrating texts (word, slang, idiom, proverbs, adage, clause); Examine classical and modern stories in the terms of expression
11 Examine story, novel and acts in the terms of vocabulary, grammar and style
12 A Stylistic Study on Tevfik Fikret s Ferda poem
13 Examine Hasan Boğuldu story of Sabahattin Ali in the terms of language and style
14 Examine Tutunamayanlar novel of Oğuz Atay in the terms of language and style
