Course Objective

this course aims to apprehend what the discourse is, and to distinguish to the discourse from the other linguistics units. Learning how to use the analysis of discourse in the different branches. (Advertisement, newspaper, political, science of education, sociology, history ). Acquisition the knowledge about the analysis of discourse.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning about what the discourse is.
2   Knowing and applying discourse analysis according to different approaches
3   performing the transfer of knowledge gained in discourse analysis to foreign language classes
4   Determination the different types of discourse, examination linguistically of them
5   Recognition of linguistic and discursive units in foreign language classes.
