Course Objective

The aim is to study the basic concepts of research techniques, historical background, the different types of research designs, instrumentation, participants, data collection techniques and data analyses.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gaining information about different kinds of research methods 2   to be able to choose appropriate data collection techniques 3   to be able to choose appropriate data analysis techniques 4   to be able to analyze research in ELT in terms of validity and reliability 5   analysing research articles
