Course Objective

The aim of this course is to learn Heritage, Natural Heritage and the concepts on Natural Heritage and to recognize of Turkey's natural heritage resources and to understand of the importance of the these resources in terms of sustainable tourism development.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows the concept of Geographical Heritage and Conservation in the World.
2   Classify Geographical Heritage resources in the World.
3   Become aware of Geographical Heritage resources in the World.
4   Assess the Geographical Heritage resources through tourism and plan it in the World.
5   Create awareness about the importance of using protection of Geographical Heritage in terms of sustainable development.
6   Use theoretical information in field studies.

3 A) Natural Heritage (Geomorphologic Heritage Resources -(Volcanic Heritages - pyroclastic cones, caldera, maar etc.)
4 A) Natural Heritage (Geomorphologic Heritage Resources- (Coastal Heritage-cliff, beach, tombolo, coastal dune, ria, coastal promenade, delta etc.).
5 A) Natural Heritage (Geomorphologic Heritage Resources -(Karst Heritage - caves, karstic pits, sinkhole, travertine terraces etc.)
