Course Objective

The aim of this course is to study that history was being scientific in nineteenth century during it separated from literature and its contributions to the change of Official Historiography of the Ottoman State

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To state main features of Nineteenth Century Ottoman Historiography
2   To consider Ottoman Historians and their works with ıts qualifications and periods that they dealt with
3   To compare Ottoman Historians and their historical perceptions with Western Historians and their historical perceptions
4   To consider basic that historiography of today inherited
5   To keep up with Ottoman-Turkish History Perception from Ottoman to Republic
