Course Objective

The main aims of the course are to understand maritime transport planning for a sustainable country development with an approach to international energy strategies design from a social, economic and environmental point of view.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Demonstrate basic knowledge about sustainable maritime transportation and international energy strategies.
2   Assess political and economic risks of energy transportation corridors
3   Evaluate the importance of chokepoints and major maritime routes.
4   Evaluation of the primary (crude oil, natural gas, coal) and secondary (electric) energy sources that "international energy corridors" perspective in terms of maritime and pipeline transportation,
5   Türkiye's strategic position and the energy corridors within the framework of the students informed about current developments.
