Course Objective

To get know new religious movements; to give information about the reasons of these movements; the founders and main features of these movements. To help students in analyzing the reasons and results of these movements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They will know the new religious movements.
2   They will be able to study and analyze the reasons why they are come out.
3   They will know the essential features of them..
4   They will be able to compare these movement with other religions and see the differences and commons.
5   They will evaluate similar attempts and movements.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Homework/presentation: Each student has to prepare homework and present it in class.
Exam: In one semester, there are two, one mid-term and a final, exams sit in and classical.
Attendance: is obligatory.
Students achievements are calculated from the results of mid-term exam, homework assignments, final exam and active participation to the lectures.

Assessment Criteria

The attendances of students are being considered and have to be at least 70%.
The grade is calculated as if Mid-term Exam 40%; homework/presentation 20% Final exam 40%
