Course Objective

1-To know Culure and its elements
2-To show the role of Hadith in constracting the culture in Islamic Societies.
3-To grasp the different meanings from different nations of the same Hadith.
4-To understand the role of different nation's History on their conception of relgion.
5-To show Sociological and Psychological inter-actions among the different cultures and religions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They will grasp the relgion-culture relationship.
2   They will understand the differences in practice and understandings among the same religion members, and its cultural backgrounds.
3   They will see the reflections of Hadith on Social area -in Architecture, Arts, Literature, etc.-
4   They will see how some abstracted terms became into symbols and got their meanings in society.

2 Prophethood and the Prophets.
3 The role of Prophets in building the culture.
4 Midle-East tribes and Mesopotamian tribes.
5 Hz. Ibrahim (the ancestor of the three relgion)
6 The sons of Ibrahim: Ishak and Ismail
7 Arabs in Jahilliyah: (Religious, economical, social and cultural aspects)
8 Mid-term Exam
9 Hz. Mohammed and his contribution in Arabic Culture and civilisaitons.
10 Socia-cultural and relgious side of Jahliyyah era and Hz. Mohammed.
11 Turks and Islam
12 Turkish understanding of prophethood.
13 The reflections of Hz. Mohammed in Turkish culture.
14 General evaluations.
