Course Objective |
By underlining the importance of strategic management concept in lodging industry, it is aimed for students to internalize each stage of the strategic management process -the basic concepts, strategic analysis methods, strategy formation and application in particular- by taking the requirements of strategic management discipline into account and by providing the necessary skills that can be transferred from theoretical knowledge into practice, students are expected to develop and apply strategies both at the corporate level and business unit in terms of the frameworks and methodologies useful for the managers and it is aimed to prepare postgraduate students to the working life both with case studies and interactive classroom discussions. |

Assessment Criteria |
1. The project within the framework of the given research topic should be submitted in written text around 20-40 pages. Stated project should be written with clear and comprehensive statements and should reflect strategic thinking. Students need to (i) explain each stage of the project, (ii) present it to the class members, (iii) answer the directed questions and the conducted study is needed to have an original value, it is also important for students to express how they converted the theoretical knowledge into practice. |
