Course Objective

To inform the students on the historical development process of the International Relations discipline and the International Relations Theories.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To assess the theories of international relations within the context of debates on general philosophy of science and methodology throughout the course.
2   To be able to define the developments in the International Relations Theory.
3   To be able to discuss the traditional approaches of the International Relations Theory.
4   To be able to assess and discuss the new approaches emerging in the International Relations Theory.
5   To be able to apply various theories on cases.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

To review the weekly subjects together with the students after the subjects are re-outlined by the lecturer, based on the pre-course reading process done by the students, and also to encourage the students to make a short presentation on a subject they prefer during the semester (if possible).
