To learn the term of cognition and cognitive functions, their neural basis and related brain areas with case examples.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand, comprehend and being able to explain the neural basis of cognition.
2   Learning memory and executive functions, releated neuroanatomical structures and their physiology.
3   Having knowledge about language, praxis, and memory disorders.
4   Consolidating learned subjects in the light of case examples.
5   Being able to express knowledge using both verbal and written forms.

Assessment Criteria

The knowledge of the neural basis of cognition; memory, executive functions, language, praxis and memory disorders will be evaluated by mid-term and final exams, ability of expressing knowledge using both verbal and written forms will be evaluated by homework assignments and presentation.
