Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to understand the basic feature of labor markets in EU and Türkiye, employment policy and the effects of EU's employment policy on member states employment policies in respect to Türkiye as a candidate country.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand coordination, authority, responsibility and functions of EU s employment policy in member states and Türkiye.
2   To understand the purposes and features of EU s employment strategy and the policies for employment and its implementations
3   To be able to analyse the effects of free movement of labour to EU socially, economically and politically
4   To compare the change of labour market in member states and Türkiye in respect to space and time
5   To evaluate the social and economical crisis and transformations in global scale and in EU, and its effects on Türkiye as a candidate country.
