Course Objective

To examine the socio-economic and political structures of cities;
To be informed about the origin and development processes of cities;
To interpret the functions of cities together with the past and the future.


Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn economic, social and spatial experiences of cities
2   To recognize political power, capital saving as a factor shaping cities.
3   To learn the development of capitals and their effects on urban policy
4   To compare Coastal town and kervan cities and multi cultural urban policies.
5   To learn the policies devleoped about urban problems in urban history.
6   To define future strategies and recognize urban transformation comparatively.
