Course Objective

This course is based on conceptual analysis. The analysis covers philosophy, philosophical questioning methods, public administration and philosophy, public philosophy and public administration, public administration and philosophy of administration, administration, ethics and ethics of administration, crisis, chaos, order, change, harmony, alienation, power, hierarchy, public sphere, bureaucracy, iron cage, rationality, administrative rationality, instrumental reason.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To introduce students basic philosophical concepts and their relation to public administration
2   To explore with students philosophers and their views about these concepts.
3   To introduce students philosophical questioning.
4   To develop evaluative skills about social change
5   To possess history of management sciences
