Course Objective

The analyse of public policy contains observing the public policies as process(1), structure of power(2) and as transfer (3). It aims to historical background of public policy analyses and its born in Turkey.

1 Introduction of homework topics to students
2 Public policy: Definition, its relation with other disciplines and its improvement.
3 Models on Public Policy Analyses
4 Models on Public Policy Analyses
5 The roles of bureaucrats, technocrats and pressure groups such as professional organizations on public policies.
6 Relationship between bureaucracy and politics; the roles of technocrats; professionalism effect of public services and bureaucracy.
7 Mid- Term Exam
8 Mid- Term Exam
9 Government policies on making public policies
10 Public policies at constitution, act, rules and regulations.
11 The aim of Regulation, deregulation and redistribution on public policies.
12 To analyse main public policies such as security, education, health, transport, localization, industrialization, etc.
13 To evaluate public policies in terms of European countries and Turkey.
14 Public policy in Turkey.
