Course Objective

This course aimed at teaching administrative structures within the scope of EU s Integrated Coastal and Marine Area management and integrated politics and models mentioned management in Türkiye and recognizing students how Türkiye included in this model.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Cognizing main ecological balance indicators of coastal and marine areas management.
2   To learn EU recommendations and national legislations regarding coastal and marine areas management.
3   To get familiar about coastal and marine areas management which is providing marine and coastal areas preservations and sustainable development.
4   Know how to obtain integrated a policy and resolution process, focusing on regional development, including all sectors relating to coastal areas.
5   Know how to make keeper and precautionary provisions about coastal and marine areas occupation and able to use negotiation decision making process.
6   Understanding to usage of cost benefit analysis to equilibrate resources and environmental balancing in coastal amanagements.

4 Modern approaches in marine areas
5 Regal legislation about Coastal areas in public administration
6 Extraordinary administration authorities, place of coastal and marine areas management and related authorities responsibilities
7 Basic Related legislation in the world scene
8 Ecological balance in coastal and marine areas and its effects
9 Coastal and marine areas of utilization
10 Social-Culturel attitudes in coastal area of usage
11 Assesment and evolution of economical action in coastal areas
12 Integrated Border Management- Modern Approaches
13 Integrated models about responsibilities of Coastal Agencies
14 General evaluation and reminder, reviewing the degree of achievement of the learning outcomes of the course by making a situation analysis of the period.
