Course Objective

By addressing the various aspects of the structure and functioning of public economy,
public economics and comparative analysis of the market economy is done.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To specifies outlined of the structure and functioning of the public sector in the world and in Turkey
2   To relate causes of market failures with the new role of the state in the economy
3   to discuss the problem of economic activity of the assumptions of the public with taking into account of Public Choice Theory
4   To interpret the applications of the welfare state in the world of success and /or failure
5   To imported the suggestions for solutions to the fundamental problems in the public sector in Turkey
