Course Objective |
The course aims to comprehensively examine the social and economic structures of the Ottoman Empire from the late 18th century to the early 20th century, how these structures evolved over time, and how this evolution was reflected in the political, cultural and social life of the state. In this course, the economic foundations, production and trade activities, demographic structures, social classes, urban and rural life styles, social justice and economic policies of the Ottoman Empire are discussed. |
