Course Objective

The aim of the course is to deal with the history of Anatolia from the beginning of the Paleolithic Age to the end of the Iron Age in the light of archaeological and epigraphic data.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
2   have the scientific literature related to the content of the course.
3   define the main concepts and facts related to the subject.
4   explain the evolution of human.
5   learn the systems used in dividing prehistoric time into ages.
6   indicate the main settlements of Anatolia according to the time period they represent.
7   understand the cultural, political and socio-economic structure of Anatolia in the Bronze Age.
8   evaluate the development of Anatolian civilizations in the 1st millennium BCE and their effects on the Western world.
