Course Objective

The main interest of this course is the political, social, and cultural developments and changes of pre-Islamic Turkish societies of Asia and Europe. The main purpose of this course is to achieve a necessary understanding of political, social, cultural, and economic characteristics of pre-Islamic Turkish societies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have knowledge about the historical development of pre-Islamic Tuskish states
2   Have a better understanding of the tranformation process of pre-Islamic Turkish states
3   Have a better understanding of the main political structures of the contemporary Turkish states
4   Analyze the effect of pre-Islamic states on the contemporary Turkish states
5   Have knowledge about the sources on the history of pre-Islamic Turkish states
