Course Objective

The aim of the course is to study the physical, political and administrative geography of Anatolia from the Middle Bronze Age to the end of the Roman Age.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
2   have the scientific literature related to the content of the course.
3   have define the main concepts and facts related to the subject.
4   state the contributions of toponymic analyzes to historical geography studies.
5   have information about the ancient names of settlements and landforms in Anatolia.
6   analyze the ancient peoples of Anatolia and the changing population structure in the process.
7   evaluate the social, political and administrative reasons of regional segregation.
8   explain agricultural, commercial and industrial activities on a regional basis.
