Course Objective

The main purpose of this course is to teach Ottoman language, the spelling rules of Ottoman language, Arabic language, and help students read literary and historical texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have a better understanding of the source languages
2   Read and write Arabic letters
3   Translate the written texts into modern Turkish
4   Have a better understanding of the related historical periods by the help of texts written in the given periods
5   Be able to analyze the information obtained from Ottoman sources
