Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach the students selected frameworks that have an impact on foreign policy making and analyze foreign policies of countries through theories of International Relations such as realism, liberalism and social constructivism. Impact of external and internal factors on formation of foreign policy processes will be analyzed.

1   Gain an understanding of theories of foreign policy analysis.
2   be able to identify internal factors through social constructivism.
3   be able to identify external factors through realism and liberalism.
4   be able to analyze foreign policy decisions of states with the appropriate theories and frameworks.
