Course Objective

The aim of this course is to emphasize the dispute resolution methods in terms of especially violence against children and women. Therefor, in this context the role of the family courts will be discussed

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to use concepts and institutions properly with high knowledge level about civil procedure in family courts. 2   Ability to determine points in which disputes and procedure rules required to be obeyed to settle a dispute arising from family law, differ from other disputes and proceedings. 3   Ability to bring together law of civil procedure with substantial law because of the fact that family law requires a sui generis proceeding. 4   Ability to analyse scientific opinion and jurisprudences about proceedings in family courts. 5   Ability to express one's opnion freely about scientific opinion and jurisprudences about proceedings in family courts. 6   Ability to contribute filling in the gap of legal protection aimed at violence against women and children with new opinions.
