Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to achieve a necessary understanding of the social and economic history of Turkey, modernization process, and the historical phases of this process.

2   2. The social and economic dissolution of the Ottomans in terms of modernization and capitalization
3   3. The social, economic, and cultural condition in the first years of the Republican Era

5   5. The social and economical politics of the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey
