Course Objective

the aim of this course is to give basic information regarding the most common used qualitative research methods and its applications in education. In addition to that, the course also aimed for each student to develop a proposal of qualitative research that illustrates a variety of research approach. Moreover, it is also aimed to use ATLAS.ti as a qualitative data analysis tool when analyzing different types of qualitative data.

5   Conduct qualitative data analysis with the qualitative data analysis programs

LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4, LO5, LO6 and LO7 will be evaluated by an assignment and a research proposal.

Course Policies and Rules

Students are expected to participate actively in the course, in adition to that course is based on lecturing method. It is not compulsory to attend classes during the semester. In addition, the subject described each week with a week period will be given homework. If the assignment is submitted late, it will be deducted by 20% for each day. The project assignment is prepared to be the implementation of all the subjects described at the end of the term and presented in the last week.
