Course Objective

Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to comprehend structures regarding the subjects which are related to himself/herself directly; words which are used very often.
2   Being able to understand simple newspaper headlines on familiar subjects.
3   Being able to write very brief, personal messages such as short, simple notes.
4   Being able to recognize grammatical peculiarities of the Germans in oral.
5   Being able to recognize grammatical peculiarities of the Germans in written texts.
