Course Objective

This course aims to instruct students about patient safety in clinical environment where surgical patient is under care in accordance with the evidence-based sopurces, standards and actual guides by being aware of the professional tasks and importance of surgical nurse in providing patient safety.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student identifies the professional task and importance of surgical nurse in providing patient safety
2   The student specifies the aims and applications of national and international institutions about patient safety.
3   The student explains the principles of patient safety.
4   In the operating room, surgical clinics, central sterilization unit and intensive care unit the sutednt discusses the importance of patient safety.
5   The student explains the control systems about patient safety.
6   During the clinical practice the students shows awareness of ethic and legal issues
