Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to teach the basic principles of communication with the healthy and sick individual, and group, theories aimed at comprehending the reasons of human behaviours, factors affecting the communication, comprehension of the importance of communication in nursing and ways of making professional relationship.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1.The student can explain factors affecting the communication.
2   2.The student can know her/himself and question the relation between the values and communication features.
3   3.The student can critically discuss the conflict solution methods.
4   4.The student can use communication skills in conflicts.
5   5.The student can individually discern the features of effective and ineffective communication.
6   6.The student can use the professional communication skills in interpersonal relations.

Skills of interpretation, recollection, decision-making, explanation, knowledge combination are assessed by means of exams.
