Course Objective

Morphological properties in protozoon, clinic of protozoon disease, differential diagnosis, treatment and prevention methods, major protozoon disease in Turkey.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Discuss general properties of protozoa and classify them
2   Discuss pathogen, nonpatogen and free-living amebas, analyse cases and recommend clinical approaches
3   Discuss intestinal and urogenital protozoa other than amebas, analyse cases and recommend clinical approaches
4   Discuss protozoa living in blood and tissue, analyse cases and recommend clinical approaches
5   Identify protozoa living in respiratory system, analyse cases and recommend clinical approaches
6   Discuss opportunistic protozoa, analyse cases and recommend clinical approaches
7   Design a research project about protozoa
