Recognizing scientific research in the field of mathematics education and make a scientific study.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To be discuss the mathematical concepts selected on the high school mathematics curriculum.
2   2. To be provide an experiences in teaching high school mathematical concept for candidates.
3   3. More specifically, in this course candidates use their content and pedagogical content knowledge to develop learning selected mathematical subject by means of their original approaches.
4   4. To be research on the subject.
5   5. To be evaluate researches.

1 Examining high school mathematics curriculum and discussing it
2 Selecting a mathematical concept or subject in high school mathematics curriculum
3 Studying literature about learning approaches on these selected subjects or concept
4 Comparing these approaches. Planning their teaching and developing an original study
5 Discussing the candidates original approaches with each other
6 Applying their approaches for pilot study on one high school
7 Constructing reports about their applications
8 Midterm exam.
9 Present their study
10 Discuss the mathematical concepts selected on the high school mathematics curriculum
11 To provide an experiences in teaching high school mathematical concept for candidates
12 Making pilot study by the students
13 Continuing the students pilot study
14 Continuing the students pilot study and reporting its outcomes. Discussing the pilot study results in whole class
15 Final exam.
