Course Objective

The aim of this course is to learn about the literature on Ottoman Empire's administration in the Balkans and how changes before and during the nineteenth century threatened Ottoman existence in the Balkans.

1   To learn about the Ottoman Empire's administration in the Balkans.
2   To have knowledge on national reserach sources.
3   To be informed about international research sources.
4   To have knowledge on primary sources of the area.
5   To be able to analyse area literature effectively.
