Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide history education master's students to learn economical and social developments the state and the society experienced from the period of Ottoman time to Turkish Republic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to know the basic resources of the Ottoman socio-economic history
2   To be able to know the basic features of the structure of Ottoman society
3   To be able to explain the basic structures of Ottoman economical order
4   To be able to summarize the industrialisation efforts of Ottoman State
5   To be able to analyze the basic changes in Ottoman socio-economic order with its reasons
