Course Objective

In this course, the students aim at learning history of Turkish Democracy from the
beginning. In addition, whether understanding of democracy is emerged in the society or
not. It is aimed to discuss these issues in the group discussions.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The students are going to read weekly topics in advance. The lecturer is going to
summarize the topics in light of students readings. Every topic will be discussed in
groups. And students are going to be encouraged to present a topic.
