Course Objective

The course aims to examine;
port and terminals from a managerial perspective
internal and external dynamics of ports and terminals

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   gathering detailed knowledge on port and terminal related subjects,
2   having comprehensive background on the basic port and terminal management functions,
3   defining and comparing basic management types, organizational structures and design in port businesses,
4   critical thinking and problem solving in port and terminal management issues,
5   effective management of the relations between port businesses and their stakeholders.
6   developing strategies and policies considering the social, legal and environmental dimensions of port business.
