Course Objective

To get students to have ability of historical researching and academic writing in the discipline of History.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will apprehend the importance, meaning, and benefits of History and its relations with other social sciences.
2   will know the types and features of the sources of History.
3   will be able to rebuild the historical reality by discovering from the sources and then to apply this reality in his writings by having necessary knowledge, equipment, rule and process.
4   to have knowledge on the value and limits of historical data.
5   to discuss the place of theory in History and to have knowledge on the benefits and problems of using theories in historiography.
6   to get benefits from the sources of some Turkish and foreign historians by learning their methods in their studies.
