Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inculcate formation, development and transformation of Sufi thought and istitutions in the historical process, and to introduce to persons and events in the history of Sufism.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student knows the ascetic life of the Prophet.(Muhammed)
2   He knows social and political events in the period of Sufism that appeared
3   He comprehends how the rice/appearance of Sufism
4   He recognizes the major Sufi centers and schools
5   He knows the leading figures of the period of asceticism and Sufism
